Evenings in Hua Hin
Street vendors selling souvenirs, Beer gardens and pubs. Hua Hin has a busy but relaxed atmosphere in the evenings. If you are looking for a busy scene then try 'Soi Bintabart' road. Located just opposite the Hilton Hotel on Naretdamri Road, this is a whole street full of bars and thumping back beats where you can get cool coctails, and ice cold beers, and more!. Poolsuk road is also a popular site for local 'wok fried' food and delicious street food. Seafood on the seaside is also available along by the fishing pier. |

Things
to see in and around Hua Hin
The surrounding area consists of over 2000 Sq Kms of protected National Parkland, and within a short drive ( 1 to 1.5 hrs) there are rainforest jungles and waterfalls, stunning caves and some of Thailand's oldest sandstone architecture. Most local sightseeing trips can be done in a short day out, although it is recommended that you take a guided tour, as you will gain more knowledge and be transfered from door to door with a local guide. | Other places to see locally are the Maruk-ka-thaiawan 'Teakwood' palace. Located only 12 Kms North of Hua Hin this is a perfect morning trip. For THB 200 admission fee per person you can look around the beautifully restored summer palace of King Rama 4 build in the 20's. take in the cool sea breeze and imagine the ambiance the palace would have had all those years ago while the King was in-house. Khao Takieb, or 'Monkey Mountain' as it is also known also also a night half day trip. Located only 5 Kms South of Hua Hin, go to the top of this Buddhist sanctuary and see some stunning Buddha images and also the abundant wild monkeys. ( beware not to touch, as they bite!) (Map) |
